ATTENTION:
The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) will be conducting stakeholder engagements in various areas of Limpopo province in August 2017 in commemoration of Women’s month.
The aim of the stakeholder engagements is to:
- to promote the work of the Commission;
- to increase its visibility and accessibility; and
- to entrench a human rights culture in the province
The various activities will serve to raise human rights awareness within the specified areas that are not limited to:
1. Community Engagement: A human rights clinic in collaboration with the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture to reach out to rural women and empower them with human rights information as enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996 at Ga – Dikgale Village on 24/08/2017
2. Roadshow: A roadshow in Musina town aiming to reach out to the community with special attention to the vulnerable groups - Non-Nationals and farm workers. In collaboration with CCMA, PPSA and Non- Governmental Organisations (NGO’s), Musina Local Municipality on 25-26/08/2017
3. Capacity Building for Religious leaders: to reach out to the Society through this nodal point of community leadership, in collaboration with the Commission for Gender Equality at Polokwane-Royal Hotel on 29/08/2017
