Media Advisory: SAHRC’s KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Office embarks on advocacy interventions in Amajuba District

The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC/the Commission) embarks on community engagements in Emadlangeni and Dannhauser Local Municipalities within Amajuba District on 18 - 21 of November 2024.

The interventions are designed to raise awareness and to address human rights challenges as raised by the local organising stakeholders, including access to socio economic rights, challenges with access to water, service delivery challenges, mining affected communities, and state of human rights among others.

These interventions will provide a platform for communities and stakeholders to engage directly with the Commission on matters that affect them and to lodge complaints with the Commission. The following interventions have been planned:
