Monitoring and assessing human rights and potential violations present the Commission with a critical opportunity to inspect areas of concern and facilitate necessary redress. Additionally, these activities will enable the office to register complaints from community members, ensuring that their voices are heard and addressed.
In addition, the ECPO will conduct a community public outreach engagement to educate and empower the community about their rights and the rights of others. This involve explaining how human rights principles apply in everyday life.
Monitoring activities will include site visits to healthcare facilities, access to basic education and children rights in line with quality sanitation, detention facilities and issues of service delivery.
