Attention: Editors and Reporters
The South African Human Rights Commission (the Commission) in the Northern Cape Province will be conducting community outreaches and legal clinics in the Barkly West and Warrenton areas as it recognises the importance of maintaining strong connections with local communities to fulfil its mandate.
The community outreaches are scheduled to take place as follows:
Day 1
Date : Thursday, 23 May 2024
Time : 10:00 AM to 13:00 PM
Venue : Vaal Inn, Barkly West
Day 2
Date : Friday, 24 May 2024
Time : 10:00 AM to 13:00 PM
Venue : Magelevendze Lodge, Warrenton
The community outreaches and legal clinics are aimed at creating awareness about the work of the SAHRC, enhancing the visibility and reach of the Commission within communities as well as providing free legal assistance to vulnerable people and marginalised communities in the Barkly West and Warrenton areas.
